The Rev. Philip Hanner
Rector
Phil has been the Rector at Redeemer since July, 2018. He and his wife, Rebecca, have three boys and a girl. Prior to his arrival at Redeemer, Phil served as an Associate Rector at St. John’s in Philadelphia, worked as a Counselor at the Christian Counseling and Education Foundation, and as a Social Worker for at-risk children in the city. He received his MDiv. from Westminster Seminary.
The Rev. JEREMY SWAGGERTY
ASSOCIATE RECTOR
Jeremy is our Associate Rector. He is married to Dr. Izzi, and they have two children, a boy and a girl. He received his MDiv. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He was ordained to the priesthood in September 2023.

Sharon WENNERSTROM
Pre-School Ministry Director
Sharon began teaching preschool children in Sunday School over 30 years ago. She will be combining Biblical Literacy with the beauty of the church calendar and the liturgy of our church to create a curriculum for the spiritual formation of children. Sharon is a trained spiritual director for children. Sharon and her husband, Brian, have two grown sons and an amazing daughter-in-law. The Chattanooga area has always been her home.
The Rev. David Beckmann
ASSISTING CLERGY
Rev. Beckmann has been an Assisting or Interim Priest at Redeemer off and on for many years. He is a native Chattanoogan who became a Presbyterian minister. He and his wife, Sheila, were confirmed in the Episcopal Missionary Church in 2004. Rev. Beckmann immediately got involved in the movement to establish a new province in the US, which eventually became ACNA. His primary ministry at present is as Executive Director of the Christian Study Center of Chattanooga, focusing on the UTC community.
The Rev. Bradley Wilson
ASSISTING CLERGY
Brad comes to us from Holy Trinity in Madison, Mississippi, where he was Interim Rector in January 2020, after having served two parishes as an Assistant Rector (Oregon & Alabama). He has served as Rector in two other parishes (both in Pennsylvania) and six previous parishes as Interim Pastor. He majored in Classical Antiquities (Univ. of Kansas) and obtained his M. Div. at Seabury-Western, Evanston, IL. He also studied pre-seminary at Trinity College, Bristol, England, where Dr. J.I. Packer was his tutor.
Dcn. Ethan Sindler
Deacon
Ethan is a Deacon at Redeemer and serves as Chaplain at Walker State Prison. He is married to Sharon and they have one boy. He earned a Master of Arts in Ministry with a concentration in Anglican Studies from Richmont Graduate University through the Mission School of Ministry in 2021 and was ordained to the diaconate in 2024.
