Whether you don’t mind being in the spotlight, or prefer to be behind the scenes, there are so many opportunities to be involved and serve at Redeemer! To sign up and get connected to a ministry leader, you can fill out a service sign-up form here. Here are the ways to serve and what they entail:
Assists clergy at worship services as Crucifer, lighting candles, and assisting the priest during the service
Prepares credence and communion tables and cleans up after services
Provides food and support when there has been a death in the family
Assists the clergy in the administration of Holy Communion during worship services
Children’s Education, other children’s activities, and Kid’s Praise for ages 5-10 during the 10:30 service
Provides focal point for the needs of parishioners, especially those who are hospitalized, at home recovering from illnesses or homebound; follows up with those not present at worship services with cards and phone calls; provides transportation or manages errands
Plans and coordinates parish events including Coffee & Conversation after the 10:30 a.m. service, picnics, fellowship dinners, small groups, special functions, and celebrations
Daughters of the Holy Cross
Order of Anglican laywomen who have taken vows as Daughters to participate in the spread of Christ’s Kingdom through prayer, study, service, and evangelism. For more info, visit daughtershc.org
Manages the purchase and donation of flowers behind the altar and on the credence table
Welcome People as they arrive for worship services with focus on visitors, and follows up with notes or telephone calls
Lead the congregation in corporate “Prayers of the People” during the worship services
Lead the congregation in corporate reading of Holy Scripture during the worship services
Leads the congregation in singing songs of praise
Missions + Outreach Committee
Plans, coordinates, and implements projects that seek to build the Kingdom of God at home and abroad
Assisting nursery workers by helping care for little ones during the 10:30 service
A ministry which includes Daughters of the Holy Cross and other members of the congregation who respond to prayer requests and dedicated prayer support, while maintaining confidentiality. Those who wish to join this ministry must receive the Rector’s approval.
Anyone is welcome to join in prayer at 10:30 a.m. at the church on Wednesday mornings.
Distributes worship bulletins, collects tithes and offerings, and addresses any needs that may arise during the worship service.
