MINISTRIES AT REDEEMER

  • Acolytes

    • Assists clergy at worship services as crucifer, lighting candles, assisting in preparing the communion table.

  • Adult Christian Education

    • Meets Sunday mornings between services.

  • Altar Guild & Flower Guild

    • Prepares credence and communion tables and cleans up after the service & provides altar flowers.

  • Bereavement Support

    • Provides food and support when there has been a death in the family.

  • Chalice Bearers

    • Assists the clergy in the administration of communion in worship services.

  • Children's Ministry

    • Children's education and other children's activities.

  • Communications

    • Plans and implement ways to make known the life and ministry of ACOTR in the community.

  • Congregational Care

    • Focal point for the needs of parishioners, especially those who are in the hospital, at home recovering from illness, or are home bound; follows up with those not present at worship services with cards and phone calls; provides transportation and runs errands.

  • Congregational Life

    • Plans and coordinates parish events including coffee & conversation, picnics, fellowship dinners, including small groups.

  • Daughters of the Holy Cross

    • Order for laywomen who have taken vows as Daughters to participate in the spread of Christ's Kingdom through prayer, study, service, and evangelism. For more information, visit the Daughters of the Holy Cross web site.

  • Greeters

    • Welcomes people as they arrive for worship services with focused outreach to visitors and follows up with notes and telephone calls.

  • Lay Intercessors

    • Leads the congregation in corporate prayer in worship services.

  • Lay Readers

    • Leads the congregation in corporate reading of Holy Scripture in worship services.

  • Maestros

    • Leads the congregation in singing songs of praise with instrumental accompaniment.

  • Missions & Outreach

    • Plans, implements, coordinates, and administers projects that seek to build the Kingdom of God at home and abroad.

  • Neighborhood Groups

    • These groups are to provide a place to get to know our brothers and sisters in Christ and welcome new members, friends, and neighbors.

  • Nursery

    • Coordinates operation of the nursery including soliciting volunteers.

  • Prayer Chain

    • A ministry which includes Daughters of the King and other members of the congregation who respond to prayer requests with dedicated prayer support while maintaining confidentiality. Those wishing to join this ministry must receive the Rector's approval.

  • Prayer Group

    • Group meets at the church on Wednesday mornings. Open to all.

  • Ushers

    • Distributes worship bulletins, collects tithes and offerings, and addresses any needs that may arise during a worship service.

  • Youth

    • Provides leadership in planning and coordinating youth activities.
